Kaitlin Olson, costar of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which returns to ?FX for its seventh season this month, on the soundtrack to her life.
What was the last concert you attended?
Arcade Fire at Coachella. ?Régine Chassagne is a tiny little person with the most powerful voice. My husband [costar Rob McElhenney] and I love "Wake Up."
Is there a song that you associate with a first kiss?
The boy I was in love with in college knew how much I liked Madonna's "Crazy for You," so we were dancing at a party and the song came on and he kissed me. I just got little butterflies. I'd like to kiss to that song right now to be totally honest with you.
Oh no, not Rob.
Do you recall the first album you bought with your own money?
Run-DMC's Raising Hell. I got into them because I was supercool. Or trying to be.
Your son's name is Axel. Are you a big Guns N' Roses fan?
I wish for the purpose of answering this question that were true, but no. We thought the name was cool, and then someone reminded me of Axel Foley from Beverly Hills Cop and I was on board.
Who would you like to portray in a biopic?
I'd do a really good job playing Trisha Yearwood. I know all of her songs and ?I sing them like a goddamned bird. That would be an ?exciting story, too, with Garth Brooks cheating on his wife and then marrying her.
Does costar Danny DeVito turn you on to music?
Definitely, but I never know who it is. My makeup artist introduced me to Foster the People.
Growing up, did your parents ever object to anything you were listening to?
When I was 12, I introduced my mom to Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me." I told her it was an amazing song, and I remember her not really agreeing with me.
What were you listening to the first time you smoked pot?
I was probably listening to [rapper] AMG. Chances are I was sitting in the corner, paranoid out of my mind, pretending that I was enjoying myself. That was my thing.
Name an album that is guaranteed to get you laid.
DJ Quik. I don't know who wouldn't succumb to "Sweet Black Pussy."
What song would you like played at your funeral?
I'm only going to die once so I want to get it right. I'm gonna go with "London Bridge" by Fergie. Because I've been told many times that I make people want their London Bridge to come down.
