Animal Collective

Buzzed-about art rockers Animal Collective -- featured in SPIN's January issue -- have extended their world tour in support of their SPIN-praised new album, Merriweather Post Pavilion. The outing, which begins tonight in New York City and travels to Chicago and L.A. this month, will return for 24 just-added dates beginning May 11 in Washington, DC.

The tour will stop in major cities across the country and conclude in Orlando, FL, June 10. As previously reported, Animal Collective are also scheduled to appear at the New York edition of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival September 12.
