Blossoming movie stars the Black Lips, known on the silver screen as the Renegades, have unveiled an extensive U.S. tour in support of Good Bad Not Evil, the quartet's fifth LP out now courtesy of Vice. The stage antics and self-described "flower punk" will commence with a hometown show in Atlanta Nov. 30 before strolling through a handful of stops before the end of 2007. To ring in the New Year, the Black Lips will then hit the road proper like, gigging in cities across the nation, from Denver to San Diego, Seattle to Detroit, Dallas to Brooklyn, and many cities in between. The exhaustive outing will conclude where it began -- in front of the hometown crowds March 22.

Foo Fighters Add U.S. Gigs

Adding to the band's initial announcement, and a following dispatch of chiefly Canadian gigs, Foo Fighters have now filled in the holes of their North American tour behind latest album, Echos, Silence, Patience and Grace. Now, the quartet's outing will kick off in Sunrise, FL Jan. 16 and hit cities like Orlando, Birmingham, and Houston. Later in the tour, Foo Fighters will perform in New York's illustrious Madison Square Garden for the first time ever.

Be Your Own Pet Get 'Awkward' On New LP

Nashville-based garage rockers Be Your Own Pet have announced the release of sophomore set Get Awkward, the quartet's follow up to 2006's self-titled debut, due to store shelves March 18. The new album, a 15-track affair recorded by the band -- frontwoman Jemina Pearl, guitarist Jonas Stein, bassist Nathan Vasquez, and drummer John Eatherly -- in their hometown alongside producer Steve McDonald (the Format) will deliver tunes with titles like "Super Soaked," "Zombie Graveyard Party," and "The Kelly Affair."

Mick Jones, Tony James' Carbon/Silicon to Play LA, NY

Ex-Clash axe maven Mick Jones and former-Generation X constituent Tony James' project Carbon/Silicon, forged in the studio as the two musicians-cum-producers worked with the Libertines in 2002, will head stateside this December to log its first pair of U.S. performances. Rolling out with a gig in Los Angeles Dec. 3, the band -- featuring bassist Leo 'E-zee-Kill' Williams (Big Audio Dynamite, Dreadzone) and drummer Dominic Greensmith (Reef) -- will then hit New York, unveiling tunes from the band's latest Internet offering, The Last Post.
