Watch Bob Mould Rip Apart ‘Star Machine’ on ‘Fallon’

Bob Mould brought the funny in the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon-assisted music video for “Star Machine,” the triumphant opener from last year’s Silver Age LP, but the former Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman brought the rawk live to the late-night show on Thursday (February 28). The “American rock pioneer,” as Fallon introduced him, led a bare-bones guitar-bass-drums trio through a typically muscular, invigorating rendition of “Star Machine,” before reliving the dream of the ’90s via “A Good Idea,” off Sugar’s seminal 1992 debut, Copper Blue. Watch Mould fly the flannel with “Star Machine” up above and the web-exclusive “A Good Idea” down below.
