If you're a broke New York City-based music fan, this summer is shaping up in your favor; Coldplay have announced plans for a free gig at Madison Square Garden June 23 in support of Viva La Vida, the quartet's Hispanic-tinged follow up to 2005's X & Y, slated to drop June 17 via Capitol.
Currently, details are murky, but on April 29 -- yes, tomorrow! -- additional instructions (ticketing, etc.) regarding the performance, as well as a free download (!) of the new album's first single "Violet Hill," will be available via Coldplay's website. The tune and concert info, plus details for a free gig at London's Brixton Academy June 16, will hit the web at 7:15 A.M. EST -- be ready, MSG is big, but so is Coldplay's fanbase!

The worst album title, the worst album design cover for the worst band on earth...at least you can't complain they aren't consistent!!! Let's wait to listen to it, before stating it is also the worst music, again!! long live real live music!
Got something to say?
