CSS Never Tire of Being Sexy

God bless Lovefoxxx’s little heart, and God bless whatever miraculous elixir it is she consumes that provides her with her uncontrollable cheeky vitality. If any of the motley crew of fashionistas, skate kids or grad students gathered at a sold-out Lee’s Palace last night (June 4) weren’t entirely captivated by the CSS singer, then they are truly colder than the highest peak in Siberia. The frontwoman was the centre of the attention right from the start of the set when she stripped out of a baggy sweater and shimmied cheerily in a completely ridiculous zebra-on-LSD bodysuit all the way to the encore, during which she crowd surfed and whipped pita bread into the audience.

The rest of the band was in equally good spirits as they spryly performed songs from their 2006 eponymous debut. Leading the way was “Alcohol”, which the audience turned into a call and response anthem, and set closer “Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above”, which prompted the whole place to go utterly insane. Save a thought for Datarock though, who didn’t let a 9:30 start to their set hinder them from transforming a surprisingly large following into a mass of bouncing sweatballs. So what if it was a Monday night? CSS and Datarock certainly didn’t let that get in the way of their partying. PRAS RAJAGOPALAN / PHOTOS BY CARRIE MUSGRAVE

We asked: In honor of CSS’ song “Meeting Paris Hilton”, if you met Paris Hilton and had to ask her one question, what would you ask her?
