DJ AM, Travis Barker Expected to Recover from Plane Crash Injuries

Travis Barker, former Blink-182 drummer and current (+44) sticksman, and Hollywood man-behind-the-decks DJ AM, a.k.a. Adam Goldstein, are expected to fully recover after suffering second- and third-degree burns when their private Learjet crashed on takeoff from an airport in Columbia, South Carolina, Friday night. Four others died in the crash. Both Barker and Goldstein are in "critical but stable" condition, said Dr. Fred Mullins, director of Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA, where the two are being cared for, Billboard.com reports.

According to officials, the plane, carrying six passengers to Van Nuys, CA, skidded off the runway and crashed through antennas and a fence, and caught fire before coming to rest on a five-lane highway. The crew -- pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, and co-pilot James Bland, 52 -- died, as did two members of Barker's entourage, his assistant Chris Baker, 29, and security guard Charles Still, 25. Barker sustained burns on his torso and lower body while Goldstein's hands and head received burns.
Barker and Goldstein were in Columbia performing as TRVSDJ-AM at a free concert.
