Before the reality TV shows and WTF-worthy music videos that proclaim Beirut the party capital of the world, Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Calvin Broadus, was but a blunt-rollin' G-Thang from Long Beach, CA, with a flow smoother than an ice cold gin'n'juice. Feelin' nostalgic? Download "Keep It Real Dogg
," a previously unreleased song recorded in 1996, showing Snoopy at his fun-lovin' West Coast best.

The track is featured on The Lost Sessions Volume 1 (out Oct. 13), which unearths previously unreleased songs recorded during Snoop's 1992-1997 years with notorious gangster rap label Death Row Records. While select tracks feature Rappin' 4 Tay, Nate Dogg, Techniec, and that G-Funk production from Dr. Dre, "Keep It Real Dogg" is Snoop doin' it his own way: "We are party people / Dogg Pound gangsters are party people! Do you want to get funky!?!" he hollers over groovy samples, before busting silky smooth rhymes about -- what else? -- weed, brew, money, and ladies!

Turn up the bass, call your old homies, and party down. Oh, and in case you were worried Suge Knight was plotting to dangle you from a 12th floor window and demand you buy 12 copies of the album, the former Death Row Records head was forced to sell the label in a bankruptcy auction to WIDEawake Entertainment, who are releasing the new album. Hey, Snoop's probably toasting to that, too.
