For this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, veteran Tina Fey returned to her old stomping grounds, where she delivered another ace send-up of Governor Sarah Palin. But this week’s show was marked by plenty of musical highlights, including a performance by British up-and-comer Ellie Goulding and a surprising cameo by Michael Bolton in Lonely Island’s hilarious digital short. Check them all out here.

Goulding, who just came off performing at the Royal Wedding, made one of her first national television appearances in the States, delivering renditions her breakout single “Lights” and a stunning cover of Elton John’s “Your Song,” which she’s taken to the top of the British charts. The 24-year-old appeared a bit timid on stage — she could stand to loosen up a bit — but her bright, fluttery voice should no doubt win her over new fans in the U.S.

Michael Bolton, meanwhile, made a hilarious guest spot in Lonely Island’s short for “Jack Sparrow,” which will be featured on the group’s new album Turtleneck & Chain, out tomorrow. In the synthed-out anthem, Bolton busts a lung in his tribute to Pirates of the Caribbean, and also spoofs Forrest Gump and Scarface. But his tribute to Erin Brockovich? That’s just downright scary.
