On Friday the Thirteenth of May 2011, ex-Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli and his band the Twilight Singers rocked New York City’s Webster Hall with a spot-on set of fittingly sinister and noir-ish tunes. Bummed you couldn’t make the gig or just want to relive the blissful chills? Worry not: The Singers recorded the set and are releasing it as Live In New York, their first live album, due November 15. SPIN has an exclusive preview — a stream of “Teenage Wristband” from 2003’s Blackberry Belle.

The 21-song gig spans the Twilight Singers’ five-album, 11-year catalog, including tunes from their acclaimed 2011 effort Dynamite Steps. It’s Dulli’s “strongest, most widescreen set since the Whigs’ mid-’90s heyday,” SPIN wrote of Dynamite in an eight-out-10 album review.

In addition to being released digitally, Live In New York will be available as a limited-edition double CD, which can be preordered at Thetwilightsingers.com. The deluxe edition, which won’t be available in stores, features the entire unedited NYC performance and will only be available prior to November 15. Fans who buy it will also receive a bonus track via e-mail, as well as a digital download of the full live album.

Bassist Scott Ford dished on the NYC show in a tour blog posted to the band’s website last May: “We played Webster Hall and it was packed. We always love playing to New York audiences and that night was no exception,” he wrote. “We gave it 110 percent and the love we got back from the crowd fueled us even more. It truly was a magical night and the feeling of elation was palpable on the bus after.”
