For more than 20 years Tool’s Maynard James Keenan has been crafting music that’s equally menacing and seductive. His latest is “Man Overboard,” the first single from his other band Puscifer’s second studio album, Conditions of My Parole, out October 18. Listen to the song below, exclusively on SPIN.com.

“Musically, it’s like Twin Peaks in the desert,” Keenan tells SPIN of the LP and its first single, recorded at his Northern Arizona vineyards. “Man Overboard” is a shadowy industrial boil with revving-Harley guitar riffs, a rolling-tank bass line, and skyward synths fit for a goth choir. And this all is carefully sprinkled with electronic plinks and patters to heighten drama and summon those hairs on the back of your neck.
