Exclusive Stream: The (International) Noise Conspiracy, “Arm Yourself”

Whoever coined the expression “strength in numbers,” consider yourself a kindred spirit with Swedish anarchist rock outfit the (International) Noise Conspiracy, whose new song “Arm Yourself” adopts the virtue of team work in a snarling revolt. “If they come in the morning / What’s gonna take place? / Bend over backwards or kick them in the face,” vocalist Dennis Lyxzén shouts over Bad Religion-esque guitar riffs and tumbling drums before passionately pleading, “I can’t do this by myself!”

A jazzy, low-rent keyboard solo kicks in, but it doesn’t stick around long as the chorus comes bounding back with Lyxzén standing atop a soapbox: “You’ve got to arm yourself to live!”

We would take up arms, Dennis — if we weren’t busy rocking out, that is. The Cross of My Calling drops November 25 via Vagrant.
