In a Twitter Q&A with his fans yesterday, Flying Lotus revealed that he’s all but finished with a brand new album for 2014. He has a title and a track list, and all that the official follow-up to 2012’s lovely Until the Quiet Comes needs now is a solid mixing session and a release date. That means the Los Angeles producer is probably flush from cutting room scraps — hence, Ideas+drafts+loops, a free 24-track set he’s just gleefully dumped onto the Internet.
As Consequence of Sound points out, cameos come from Shabazz Palaces, Baths, the Underachievers, Thundercat, and more. Among the highlights are a remix of Kanye West’s Yeezus single “Black Skinhead” featuring the aforementioned bass god (stream that below). “U kno what … Fuck it,” began FlyLo in a series of tweets on Tuesday. “About to be 300K [followers] today probably.
