Foo Fighters’ Latest Leak Is Heaviest Yet

When Dave Grohl promised the Foo Fighters’ latest album would be heavy, he wasn’t kidding. The just-leaked “Bridge Burning” is the most ear-pummeling cut from the alt-rock band’s exceptional April 12 release, Wasting Light.

The song — teased online in January — is a “three-guitar riff bomb” and “brandishes real heavy-metal muscle,” SPIN contributor Mikael Wood writes in the LP’s nine-out-of-10 review. Grohl lets out a hair-raising battle scream: “These are my famous last words!”.

For fans who’ve been following each successive track to emerge from Wasting Light, “Bridge Burning” is even heavier than “Rope” and “White Limo.”

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the alt-rock gun show!
