Jim James of My Morning Jacket is no stranger to cover songs, having paid homage to everyone from James Brown to Elton John in his band's oft-epic live sets. Now, with his first proper release as a solo artist, James is focusing his tribute on one singular talent: George Harrison.

As previously reported, James' six-song EP of Harrison covers, Tribute To, was recorded in 2001, just after the Beatles guitarist passed away. While the EP is set for an August 4 release in CD format (under James' solo pseudonym "Yim Yames"), James is offering up a digital version of the songs for purchase right now -- and a free download of "Behind That Locked Door" from Harrison's 1970 triple album, All Things Must Pass.
