It was only a matter of time before New Zealand’s Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement returned to reclaim Flight of the Conchords’ comedy crown. In an interview with The Guardian earlier this week, Clement confirmed that he and McKenzie have struck up a deal with HBO for a brand new four-episode series for the network. Though it won’t be an official Conchords show per se, both men are confirmed to participate (at least in part) in the miniseries. The last we heard from the Conchords was when the duo toured with Dave Chappelle during last year’s Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival. The band’s upcoming return to the small screen marks another anticipated milestone in a landmark age for TV musical moments.
Before this rumour gets out of hand – we are not working on a 4 ep Conchords show for hbo… https://t.co/q1607H5vg8

I am working on another idea with them though, hence the mix-up.
