Hear Dinosaur Feathers’ Full ‘Whistle Tips’ Album

Dinosaur Feathers

In 2010, fidgety Brooklyn outfit Dinosaur Feathers turned in an criminally underrated, self-released debut LP (the lovely Fantasy Memorial) that spliced together reams of de rigeur indie rock tropes: the Tropicalia-indebted, Afro-inflected rhythms and guitar warmth employed by bands like Ruby Suns and Vampire Weekend, the hiccupping vocal trips of Panda Bear recorded to make any Fleet Foxes fangirl swoon. (Also: lo-fi!) They’re back now with Whistle Tips, a cleaner, tighter, far crunchier follow-up that includes the much needed addition of drummer Nick Brooks. Have a listen to it in its lively entirety, exclusively at SPIN, below.
