As Royce Da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Joe Budden get set to release their rap quartet’s major-label debut, Welcome To: Our House, on August 28, they have a not-so-secret weapon: Eminem. Slim Shady has traded rhymes with Slaughterhouse in a feral BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher, and sent up his own non-99-percenter status in the group’s amusing “My Life” video. Now, only a couple of days after Slaughterhouse released their free On the House mixtape, the album’s Eminem-assisted single “Throw That” has hit digital retailers, as Nah Right points out. Shady devotees might be disappointed he raps an extended hook rather than a proper verse, shouting a bunch of things you’re not advised to say in a strip club (Em also, um, helps sing the bridge). T-Minus, recently heard producing Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools (Drank),” sets club-ready post-Timbaland electro stomp behind the Slaughterhouse MCs’ ensemble stripper wordplay.
