Jay-Z Preps Anthology, Ke$ha Returns!

  • Jay-Z will release an anthology titled The Hits Collection: Volume 1 on November 22. The Deluxe Edition of the set will include five unreleased tracks and a 32-page book; a more expansive Collectors Edition Box Set will be packaged with a 100-page coffee table book of previously unpublished photos.   • Ke$ha will return November 22 with an eight-track companion EP to her debut Animal, titled Cannibal. The EP features tracks produced by Bangladesh and Max Martin.

  • Watch British synth-pop duo the Ting Tings performing their new song “Hands” Jools Holland, from their upcoming album Kunst, due out in early 2011. [YouTube]

  • Stream Avey Tare‘s psychedelic solo album Down There, which hits stores on October 20. [NPR]

  • Jack White is teaming up with Nixon Accessories to design a line of headphones for his Third Man label. [Consequence of Sound]

  • After teaming up for a benefit album last Easter, Tom Waits and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will release a two-song, limited-edition 78 record on November 18, featuring tracks “Tootie Ma Was a Big Fine Thing” and “Corinne Died on the Battlefield.” Can’t play 78s?
