Kings of Leon showed up on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night (July 22) to fire off “Supersoaker,” the glistening lead single from their upcoming “youthful” albumMechanical Bull. The Southern gents delivered a jaunty performance, leaning heavily on the song’s rubbery bassline, Springsteen-like chimes, and singer Caleb Followill’s weary croon, as he pleads, “I don’t mind sentimental girls at times / Miss, don’t walk away.” Watch the clip above, and scroll down for Kings of Leon’s tour dates, including tonight’s gig at the Rock for Oklahoma benefit concert, which will also feature the Flaming Lips, Built to Spill, and Jackson Browne. And don’t forget to watch Fallon’s informercial for Mechanical Bull.
