Brit singer Adele is all the talk here at SPIN — and her excellent and soulful new album, 21, is on heavy rotation. And now you can hear it, too, before its February 22 release. Head over to NPR to stream it now!

The 22-year-old crooner tells SPIN that 21, the follow-up to her smash debut 19, is a deeply personal release. “It’s a breakup record,” she says. “One big breakup.” In the first single, “Rolling in the Deep,” she even tells her ex-lover to “think of me in the depths of your despair.” Ouch. Adele says her sassy ‘tude was heavily inspired by ’50s rockabilly singer (and new Jack White protege) Wanda Jackson.

“I discovered her about half way through my first American tour from my bus driver,” says Adele. “She always makes me fearless. Listening to her music gives me courage to have and keep, if and when I need it.”
