We already had a taste of the Lonely Island’s Robyn-featuring banger “Go Kindergarten” in a faux-viral hashtag-happy video. But now, with the help of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Paul Rudd, the comedy trio have served us a total #upgrade. The new guest stars play real-life best buds on a night out on the town. In a bizarre club, Andy Samberg and his fellow Islanders perform with the Swedish pop star, putting the audience in a puppet-like trance. It starts innocently enough, sure, but soon the dudes are, to paraphrase the song, whipping their dicks out, eating garbage, and sucking helium through their butts.
“Go Kindergarten,” of course, hails from the Lonely Island’s third long-player, The Wack Album, which came out today. So far we’ve been treated a late-night mashup with Alanis Morissette, guest appearances by Zach Galifianakis and James Franco in the pro-homo video for “Spring Break Anthem,” an ironic lyric video for the Solange-featuring “Semicolon”, and T-Pain’s incestuous cyborg cry on “I Fucked My Aunt”. The album also includes collaborations with Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Lady Gaga, Billie Joe Armstrong, Too $hort, and Kendrick Lamar with Adam Levine.
