After a smashing surprise set at last weekend's South by Southwest music festival, the metal masterminds in Metallica have unveiled plans for a massive North American fall tour.

Scheduled to kick off in Nashville on September 14, the 26-date tour will hit major cities in the U.S. and Canada before concluding December 12 in San Jose, CA. Tickets for most dates are scheduled to go on sale April 4, with the remaining dates on sale April 11.
