Michael Jackson Dead at 50
The King of Pop passes away after suffering cardiac arrest in Los Angeles.

Michael Jackson, the undisputed King of Pop with more than 13 number one hits during his career, died today of cardiac arrest. He was 50.
Jackson was rushed to the hospital this afternoon after a 911 call was made from his home in Los Angeles' Holmby Hills area at 12:21 P.M. When paramedics arrived, the pop star wasn't breathing; he received CPR en route to UCLA Medical Center.

Jackson arrived at the hospital in a coma and was pronounced dead at 2:26 P.M., the Los Angeles Times reports. TMZ first reported the story.
Jackson's longtime producer Quincy Jones released this statement: "I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words.... The music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all...talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.... I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him."
Jackson was scheduled for a 50-date comeback run at London's O2 Arena, set to kick off this July. The initial demand for tickets was so high that fan traffic crashed Jackson's website. He had reportedly been rehearsing for the shows in Los Angeles for the past two months.

In recent years, Jackson -- who began his music career 40 years ago as part of the Jackson 5 -- was forced to give up his Neverland Ranch due to continuing financial difficulties. He had moved between Bahrain, London, and Los Angeles with his family, and had spent time developing a Broadway musical based off his 1982 hit "Thriller."
The singer has also been plagued by a series of health issues in recent years, including rumors that he suffers from Alpha-1 antitrypsin, a potentially fatal genetic illness. In 1993, after allegations of child molestation led Jackson to abuse prescription painkillers, the singer was admitted to a rehabilitation center.
Jackson is survived by his three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
He didn't die of a heart attack, he went under cardiac arrest.
Iam so sorry for the loss of Micheal Jackson he is the geatest I ever know and was the best music to me and my family can see.If bad problem happens to his family it is no one bussiness or consert.Everyone will not forget about him,and I hope you read this because the king of pop is like a family to our world. Througtout the world dont matter what he did or hade problems, people will have a remembering of Michael Jackson and may god bless him,live with god. Separate the music and the man. The music was sublime and genre defining (with much help from Quincy, Rod Temperton et al). The man was deeply, deeply flawed, in fact "man" seems an inappropriate term in his case. Every personal f*#k up that is too often associated with such talent, privilege & wealth underscored his woeful private life.
And a special shout-out to the sycophants, parasites, enablers, 'friends', 'managers' & 'doctors' who were so much a part of his life - you do the human race proud! Let's just hope his children (really?) make it through to adulthood rather more unscathed.

I havent listened to him much in the past 10 to 15 yrs, but i remember me and my cousins when i was a child listening to him all the time he was just the bomb then my heart goes out to his family it just seems to early.
all i want to say is that this is so sad watching him go away.i mean he is the king of pop.and we will all miss him.i feel so bad for his family.if i was in his family i would be crying my eyes out and i would pray for him each day.i will miss you,love you,and pray for you michael.

37 years ago to this day, on (07/02//09) in Birmingham England, UK, my beloved papa passed away, i was a week away from my 11th birthday the same age as Paris Jackson, my mother, sisters and I to say the least were gutted to the core with grief, and at that time no one could know or could ever imagine our pain, grief and emptiness which we felt. However, along came five, handsome, talented, black dignfied young men, who comforted us and gave us a life line to wonderful music, which brought so much joy, to our lives, we were initailly frail and so unhappy, but through this we found strength. Soundtracks like The love you save, ABC, etc, etc had our backs.YES gratitude and sincere condolence in the passing of my true loyal, vibrant, kind, loving friend and brother, knowing that Michael will always be loved and is also in the safe keeping of the one who made it possible, Michael was simply blessed, and is now in the safe keeping of Jehovah. Michael was a good person, and the world will never forget him. THANK you THANK YOU, THANK YOU JACKSON FAMILY!! for sharing your wonderful Michael with us.
