Hey, remember Anywhere I Lay My Head, actress Scarlett Johansson's album of Tom Waits covers (and one original tune), produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek? Well, eight months after its release she's at the music thing again, this time channeling Jeff Buckley's lovelorn piano ballad "Last Goodbye" for the soundtrack to He's Just Not That Into You, an upcoming romantic comedy also starring Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Ben Affleck, out Feb. 3.

The soundtrack is pretty awesome, with tunes from My Morning Jacket, R.E.M., Talking Heads, Wilco, and more. And, guess what -- Johansson's cover isn't half bad either! Click here to hear the tune!

Then leave your thoughts about the song -- and Johansson's music career -- in the comment section.

Re: S.Johansson covers Jeff Buckley's "Last Goodbye"

The girl cannot sing. This is how one knows what music really means to a person. If she really had any balls and music really meant something to her, she would have made sure Jeff Buckley's version got on that soundtrack. The money they got could have gone to Jeff's charity "Road Recovery". I really feel it’s an injustice to Jeff’s music if you can’t produce as great or greater cover. He did so so many covers of greats like Ray Charles, and ten out of ten times he went far beyond them. Unless u can do that you have no business covering any of his work, because you can’t. You only make a fool of yourself. People need to know their limitations.

I love the way this soundstrack starts out. A good funk, and talking about summer, cause it is February and COLD! Corrine Bailey Rae sets the tone correctly. Honestly there aren't too many songs on here that I haven't heard before but I adore each one. It is almost like a mix tape that a good friend would make for you to cheer you up. I know My Morning Jacket is exactly a household name yet but they should be, or Wilco for that matter. (goodness they both RULE FACE!) I could honestly do without Maroon 5 and their song on this soundtrack didn't help my dislike for them at all. I will admit I was nervous about little hottie Scarlett doing my man Jeff Buckley's song, Last Goodbye, just by how much the press had butchered her when her CD came out. I thought she did it BEAUTIFULLY! I was very impressed. Buckley was a beautiful singer songwriter and I was scared, but I applaud her!
My dogs LOVE the Talking Heads' This Must Be the Place, But I am sure they have heard their mama play it before. If you don't like that talking heads, you might need your head examined. ;-)
Overall I give this a a fantastic. Keep me happy and satisfied as I ran my errands!
