News Roundup: Radiohead, Karen O, Jay Reatard, Tegan & Sara

Karen O, fiery frontwoman of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, has been diversifying her hustle somethin’ fierce as of late with her contributions to I’m Not There, and that rumored solo set, and now there’s another tidbit up her unitard’s sleeve: Ms. O will pen the music to ex-beau Spike Jonze‘s major motion picture adaptation of classic children’s book Where the Wild Things Are. Though details are a bit murky, the movie — and hopefully soundtrack — will arrive later this year. [Via Pitchfork]

Memphis-based garage rocker Jay Reatard will join the Black Keys on a string of U.S. dates this spring in support of their freshly announced Danger Mouse-produced set Attack & Release.But first, Reatard’s material will take center stage in Chicago, venuesacross Australia for nearly a month, and at SXSW before the pair’s tourkicks off March 27 in Tucson.
