Nicki Minaj Mopes About Fame on ‘Marilyn Monroe’

A new Nicki Minaj track has materialized out of thin air, to coincide seamlessly with her Super Bowl halftime show appearance with Madonna last night. No one seems to know anything about it — namely where it came from and whether it will be on Roman Reloaded in April — but it’s a far cry from the foul-mouthedness of “Stupid Hoe” (you’re welcome, BET). We can’t help humming B.o.B’s “Airplanes” and Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” (not to mention a few Something Corporate songs) over the repetitive piano riff. Ingenuity, or lack thereof, aside, the mopey, sucks-to-be-an-objectified-celebrity lyrics don’t make us feel much better. Like You Heard That New, we, too, are still awaiting the “Monster” Nicki resurrection.
