Despite the pre-Christmas departure of founding members Josh and Zac Farro, Hayley Williams and Paramore are pushing forward, writing new music, and filling out their line-up — at least temporarily.

The Tennessee pop-punks have started working on their fourth full-length album, the follow-up to their blockbuster 2009 release, brand new eyes. “Tonight @itstayloryall [guitarist Taylor York] sent me the 1st official demo for me to write lyrics to,” Williams tweeted on December 30. “And I am so hopeful and motivated for the future!!” She followed with another tweet on January 2: “Writing… writing… writing stuff.”

Paramore has also announced two new replacement members, who will help out on their South American tour in February and March: Taylor York’s brother Justin, who has previously filled in on tour, will play guitar, while drums will be handled by esteemed veteran Josh Freese, who has played with a variety of bands over his 20-year career, from Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Devo, Queens of the Stone Age, and Weezer to pop starlets like Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, and Miley Cyrus.

The new additions, however, aren’t permanent. “Neither Josh Freese nor Justin York are joining as members, just helping us for the South American tour :),” Williams tweeted.

Despite the Farros’ departure, which was punctuated by a lengthy, damning blog post from Josh Farro, Williams, York, and bassist Jeremy Davis never questioned the future of the band.”We never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind,” the band said recently in a statement. “We really hope that you can be encouraged by the fact that the three of us who are still here are ready to take on another chapter of our journey together.”
