Pearl Jam have revealed new details about their previously announced Labor Day festival celebrating their 20th anniversary. The September 3-4 bash at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI, will features musical pals the Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, X’s John Doe, Joseph Arthur, Glen Hansard, and Liam Finn.

This will be Pearl Jam’s only U.S. appearance of the year, but they’ll take off for a 10-date Canadian tour following the Alpine Valley weekend. That trek kicks off on September 7 in Montreal and wraps up on September 25 in Vancouver.

Pearl Jam have lined up plenty of projects to celebrate 20 years together. Earlier this year, they released deluxe editions of 1993’s Vs. and 1994’s Vitalogy. They are also collaborating on a documentary with director Cameron Crowe, which will feature behind-the-scenes footage and new interviews carved from over 1,200 hours of archival film. According to The New York Times, the movie will premiere on PBS on October 21. It will also be accompanied by a book and Crowe-curated soundtrack this fall.

Tickets for Pearl Jam’s Labor Day festival go on sale via the group’s fan club on May 23 (June 4 for the general public). More information is available at the band’s official site. Check out dates for the Canadian tour (along with the trailer for Crowe’s doc) below.

As SPIN previously reported, Pearl Jam won’t spend all of 2011 looking back. The band hit the studio in April to work on a new album. “We did a whole bunch of demos and everybody’s got a disc of 25 [songs] right now,” bassist Jeff Ament revealed, adding that they would flesh out around a dozen of those songs for their first album since 2009’s Backspacer. “Hopefully we can get something done this year.”
