The Pixies: Live in Minneapolis

The Pixies were the first band to gather the tribes: the art-school design majors and high school goths, the girl who rented Heathers 400 times and the smartest kids on the soccer team. But their reunion show in Minneapolis' 500-capacity Fine Line Music Cafe wasn't about graying rockers patting each other on the back. Aside from a few flubbed notes on the opener, "Bone Machine," the band's 80-minute set was a note-for-note recapitulation of slept-on glories.

Check the June issue of SPIN, on stands May 25, for the full live review.
