Rick Ross doesn’t have to set foot on a carnival ride to show you he’s on top. The LMFAO-suing, dealer-defeating Maybach Music Group bawse stands in front of a Ferris Wheel — and a Rolls Royce — in the new video (via Miss Info) for his triumphal take on Kanye West’s soul-sampling Yeezus standout “Bound 2.” The setting is reminiscent of Beyoncé’s Coney Island-shot “XO” video last month, though here we see the usual assortment of traveling-carnival amusements. The Charlie Wilson-sung outro swerves into a teaser of Rozay and Jay Z’s “The Devil is a Lie,” and the whole, Dre Films- and Jon J-directed affair serves as a reminder of upcoming album Mastermind — one of SPIN’s 50 Albums You Gotta Hear in 2014 — now pushed back to a March 4 release. Cigar and Styrofoam cup in hand, Ross doesn’t look worried.
