Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson Made Peace For Grimy ‘Ava Adore’ Performance

The Smashing Pumpkins first album with Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, Monuments to an Elegy, hit the internet last week, and to celebrate the band is taking a brief spin through a few venues that are a little more intimate than the spots they usually hit. But if that weren’t enough to make these few shows special, as Stereogum points out, Marilyn Manson dropped by the encore of the legendary alt-rockers London set at the Koko on Friday night for grimy and stunning performances of “Ava Adore” and his own new single “Third Day of a Seven Day Binge.”

Earlier this week, a picture of Courtney Love, Billy Corgan, and Manson surfaced on Instagram, suggesting that the Pumpkins frontman’s respective feuds with each of the other alt-rock icons had come to a close, but this performance serves as compelling confirmation.
