U2 Discuss 'Spider-Man' Musical

Bono / Spider-Man
Larry Fitzmaurice

Set the stage, and light the lights: The much-anticipated Broadway musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, featuring music and lyrics by U2's Bono and the Edge, is set to open February 18, 2010.

In anticipation, U2's songwriting pair recently sat down to chat about what first attracted them to the project, including the relationship between rock bands and comic books. And they reveal the Spider-Man characters they most identify with (we'll give you a hint: their characters don't get along too well).

Check out video of the interview below. Then head over to Turn Off the Dark's official website, which also features interviews with the show's director, Julie Taymor (The Lion King, Across The Universe).
