Watch Feist, Michael Stipe, and Noel Gallagher Rock the Late Shows (Not Together)

Last night our DVRs were struggling to capture a bevy of fine musical performances on late-night TV: Michael Stipe made a somewhat random appearance on The Colbert Robert and sang “Lean on Me” with Brian Eno and Stephen Colbert (he is promoting the band’s best-of, after all). Feist performed two gorgeous songs on Jimmy Kimmel Live! And Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds made their U.S. TV debut on Late Show With David Letterman.

Colbert laments, “I have been devastated ever since I got the news that legendary rockers the R.E.M.s broke up… when it comes to this loss, everybody hurts.” Then he puts Stipe on his shelf. Literally.
