Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz have debuted their new music video for “On Melancholy Hill,” the second single off Plastic Beach, and it’s a comic book-style combo of Titanic, Finding Nemo, and Pirates of the Caribbean, starring animated versions of Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, De La Soul, and members of the Clash! Watch below.

Directed by Gorillaz co-founder and Tank Girl artist Jamie Hewlett, the video finds the fictional guitarist for the band, Noodle, in a ship under attack from pirates. Soon the boat sinks, leaving Noodle lost at sea. A rescue party driving an underwater fleet of mechanical shark-boats begins their search, with the aforementioned music stars — who collaborate on Gorillaz’s new album — among the pack. In the end they discover Plastic Beach — the same image featured on the cover of their new album.

Below, watch the video — which is also available via iTunes to download here — then tell us what you think in the comment section.
