WATCH: Metallica Consider Going "Gay"
No matter how big or small, metal bands have a stake in looking like bad asses. In that, Metallica, the biggest metal band of them all, is no different from any of their head banging brethren. So it's both fun and rare to see James, Kirk, Lars, and Robert drop the scowling for a bit and laugh it up, which is exactly what they do in a new clip from a video interview they did with Sirius radio host Jim Breuer.

Though the interview was conducted before Metallica's concert at New Jersey's Prudential Center last February -- and aired on Breuer's show Fridays with Breuer the same month -- the video clips have only just been released. Check out the one below, in which Breuer asks whether the guys would be willing to play the role of a gay character in a film. Bet you can guess what James Hetfield's answer is.

omg theur music is gay now their gay to???wtf?????
Wow. So incredibly offensive. Good luck with that career, boys.
Wow you guys are retarded, Metallica isn't pro gay, they make that clear, like when Lars emphasized that it was "acting". Lars kind of...seemed a little pro gay...haha he's retarded sometimes for sure! lol. Kirk said, "only if I could play as Rob Halford," out of respect for his work if you ask me. Kirk also said "what do you mean by attractive," after Lars said that being a gay man would make things more attractive for a film. Kirk really doesn't show a pro gay attitude in this. James is hilarious in this one because he's really slick on a microphone after all of his concerts. I've been to them, he's the best host for a concert you'll ever have. James makes fun of Lars because Lars "would find it attractive" to the film, hahaha. James is awesome. It's pretty funny when he asks if he gets to choose who it is...lol. Then Lars digs himself in a hole. Rob gets asked next and he just says he wouldn't do a good job and he wouldn't be able to live with himself after attempting to produce a gay film. So neither Kirk, James, or Rob would play a gay man's role as their first starring film, But Lars Ulrich seems all for it! So there's your conclusion, it's not a group question, it's a personal question fucking idiots. It's got nothing to do with how amazing their music is!
Got something to say?
