WATCH: New Muse Video, ‘Resistance’

Giant video walls! Packed arenas! Lasers! They’re all part of Muse’s new video for “Resistance,” the title track off the Brit-rockers’ hit 2009 album. Watch it below.

Culled from footage of the band’s 2009 arena tour, the clip features singer-guitarist Matt Bellamy, drummer Dominic Howard, and bassist Chris Wolstenholme playing a gig while perched atop gigantic rectangular pillars, the sides of which are fully swathed in LED-screens. It’s an eye-popping way to make three rather immobile dudes look completely awe-inspiring. We’re guessing no one in Muse has issues with heights!

Directed by music video maven Wayne Isham — whose glammy ’80s clips for Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi set the standard for rock concert videos — “Resistance” offers a glimpse of Muse’s epic live show, which is currently touring through Australia and the Far East. The band’s arena tour begins a 23-date North American run on Feb. 27 in Duluth, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.
