Who Charted? Rihanna Loses Black Friday Buyathon to Nickelback, Michael Buble

First! The holiday shopping season officially began last Friday, so it’s little surprise the Santa-themed Christmas by Michael Bublé has found its way to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200. The disc sold 227,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, which is literally just a smidgen more than Nickelback’s Here and Now did. At least the maligned Canadian rockers can say they handily beat Rihanna’s super-sexy new album, Talk That Talk, which cruises into third place with 197,000. But Rihanna can say nobody asked her to not perform at a football game this month. So there’s that.

4 Through 10: Drake’s Take Care dips to No. 4 (173,000), Mary J. Blige’s ridiculously titled My Life II: The Journey Continues, Act I debuts at No. 5 (156,000), and Justin Bieber’s Under the Mistletoe moves to No. 6 (142,000). Up next, Adele’s 21 falls out of the Top 5 for the first time since it debuted 40 weeks ago (140,000). Daughtry’s Break the Spell arrives at No. 8 (129,000) followed by fellow American Idol alum Scotty McCreery’s Clear as Day (88,000), and Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto (79,000).

Notable New Arrivals: Taylor Swift’s Speak Now World Tour Live debuts at No. 11 (77,000), the soundtrack toCirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson show Immortal bows at No. 24 (43,000), and Yelawolf’s Radioactive hits No. 27 (41,000).

Surprisingly Weak New Arrivals: Lady Gaga’s A Very Gaga Holiday EP — a digital-only release — only musters at No. 51 debut with 22,000 copies sold. The woman sang into a dildo microphone for you all on national television last week, and this is the thanks you give her?

LMFAO All the Way to the Bank: “Sexy and I Know It” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Songs chart, likely boosted by the group’s ridiculous yet entertaining closing performance at the American Music Awards.
