Winehouse Scraps All Remaining Gigs; New Weezer LP Details False

Plus news on Editors and the Big Sleep.

Apparently the sought after American visa simply wasn't enough; Amy Winehouse needs her hubby! According to a statement issued by her publicist, the troubled Brit songbird, who has recently come under fire for a series of poor performances in the U.K., has canceled all her tour plans, including a tentative outing in the U.S. in 2008, due to "intense emotional strain" cause by her husband Black Fielder-Civil's imprisonment on charges of perverting the course of justice.

"I can't give it my all onstage without my Blake. I'm so sorry but I don't want to do the shows half-heartedly; I love singing," Winehouse said in a statement. "My husband is everything to me and without him it's just not the same."

Too bad visas are non-transferable -- there's plenty of demand!

New Weezer LP Details False

Reeling in the anticipation behind Weezer's still forthcoming album, the quartet's sixth to date, representatives for Geffen have taken to the band's official website to refute claims made by albumsix.com, which stated the LP was entitled Tout Ensemble and would arrive April 22. "Weezer and Geffen Records have no affiliation with www.albumsix.com," the Thanksgiving Day post read. "The new Weezer record is not called Tout Ensemble and there is no official release date yet for the album."

So what's up with the tricksters over at albumsix.com? Well, a new post admits to the hoax while publicizing a new Weezer fan forum. What right-minded fan will join with these torturous web rabble-rousers? [Via Pitchfork]
