We here at SPIN.com wish we could have stowed you away in our Bonnaroo RV. But just because you don't have a ticket for this weekend's Southern special doesn't mean you can't soak up some of the festival's top performances.

Though still a little weary from the exhausting 900 mile drive from Spin's New York City HQ, we've finally situated our RVs here at Bonnaroo's sweltering festival grounds and are now anxiously awaiting the main event: the music!

Finally onsite after 27 hours of driving from NYC, a little sleeping, and a lot of waiting behind a major traffic accident, SPIN.com's William Goodman checks in from the campgrounds as the crowd filters in.

Bonnaroo takes pride in its greening initiatives, and as we rambled through the still-developing festival grounds this afternoon, we met Mike from New Hampshire, a Bonnaroo veteran. He explained how the festival keeps itself clean and composted, and also gave some insight about how tough it is to get clean after handling all that garbage.

Hot showers. Non-grilled meals. Reliable mobile phone service. A regular place to sleep each night. These are things I've left at home once again as I embed myself at Bonnaroo, the massive, 80,000-strong musical gathering in Manchester, Tennessee, which kicks off Thursday.
