Vestal Channels Punk Rock, 1977
While constructing our special October issue on 1977, the year punk exploded, Spin came across a few like-minded companies also embracing the legendary year in music. One of them, Vestal. In addition to a vast selection of wrist watches, Vestal offers t-shirts and hoodie sweatshirts channeling punk's do-it-yourself attitude, featuring prints influenced by the album art and iconography of 1977, including the legendary club the Roxy and the numerous bills posted to its short-lived walls. Additional graphics include "Cruel," inspired by an early Sex Pistols t-shirt, and "Nancy," a tribute to the raucous punk figure and her boyfriend, Sid Vicious. I duno, Bedlam really disappointed me. I know poor Omar's studio flooded but this record still sounds like poop. "Soothsayer" is really nice though. my music blog
"Wax Simulacra"- fantastic name of the song. When I think of what "simulacra" can be.. It's something that puzzles me... signature: "I read so many bad things about edenfantasys toys that I had to give up reading."
