Whether delivering coy political messages on stage or chatting casually backstage, Stars singer Torquil Campbell is always an engaging persona. And at Outside Lands he went a step further, treating SPIN.com to an intimate acoustic performance. Campbell chose to play "A Place to Hide Away," a tune by Robert Forster, most famously of Australian indie influencers the Go-Betweens. The song comes from Forster's 2008 album, The Evangelist, his first work after the death of his Go-Betweens songwriting partner, Grant McLennan.

As Campbell states on camera at the song's end, this recording is his first ever solo gig, so clearly a one-of-a-kind moment to behold.
