Plastilina Mosh, 'All U Need Is Mosh' (Nacional)

Rock en español goofuses embrace their identity crisis.

Trying to pin a label on Plastilina Mosh is like attempting to catch a smoke ring. A decade after their major-label debut, Aquamosh (and the infectious MTV hit single "Mr. P. Mosh"), made them an international sensation, the fourth album from the relentlessly kooky Mexican duo imitates a various-artists collection, zigzagging happily from surging punk rock ("Let U Know") to vocoder synth funk ("Going to Mars Bolton") to Wall of Sound lushness ("Pervert Pop Song"). More an MC than a singer, smartass frontman Jonaz Gonzalez declaims mostly in English, projecting armor-plated self-confidence even when pleading with a distant lover. The guy would be unbearable if his enthusiasm wasn't so contagious.
