New Stream: Wolf Parade, "Call It a Ritual"
Spencer Krug's wrenching squawk meets jerky pianos and careening guitars in a tune off the project's forthcoming record.

On a track off Wolf Parade's still-untitled forthcoming set (out June 17 via Sub Pop), the eerie qualities of frontman Spencer Krug's overpowering and ghoulish vocal tones wholly compliment the quartet's decided departure into ghost-town-saloon piano sounds and screeching, sputtering-into-the-ozone riffs.
Though brandishing a middle-of-the-road crescendo, the song, however, is a fairly straightforward rhythmic assault led by the keys and carrying cymbal tantrums and Krug's warbling religious ramblings. Dramamine not necessary.
