This year's Treasure Island Festival is sure to be a doozy. Taking place October 17-18 at on Treasure Island in San Francisco, the festival boasts headlining bands like the Decemberists, MGMT, and psychedelic bubble blowers the Flaming Lips, and the supporting line-up is just as sure to excite.

With a whopping 130 bands scheduled to perform, the eighth annual Austin City Limits Music Festival (Oct. 2-4) is sure to be one to remember. While the Beastie Boys were forced to cancel due Adam Yauch's battle with cancer, the festival still boasts Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, and Pearl Jam as headliners, with New York City art-punks Yeah Yeah Yeahs added to the bill.
