XBXRX Deploy New Tune from 'WARS'
The outspoken Oakland-based hardcore outfit XBXRX has been around since the late '90s, and they're still finding stuff to sweat about. The title for their newest noise, WARS, is never more appropriate, since it contains the word "raw" and doesn't shy away from the political (after all, these are the same guys that put out a 7" called We Hate the President).

Sure, they share their name with a synthesizer, but the Moog are making sonic waves in their own right. The Budapest quintet is the first Hungarian rock band to land on an American label, and MuSick Recordings will begin selling their upcoming debut, Sold for Tomorrow, April 10.

Wolf & Cub's Solid 'Gold'
Wolf & Cub come from the land down under, where Men At Work have claimed that "men plunder," so perhaps "Steal Their Gold" is a piece of proggy patriotism. The Australian quartet from Adelaide beef up their beats with two drummers, and "Steal Their Gold" showcases the band's rhythmic precision before sprawling into psychedelic fuzz.
