Aside from the moderate success of his mid-'90s projects, notably Marvelous 3, singer/songwriter and producer extraordinaire Butch Walker has spent much of his career behind the scenes, writing and producing for chart-busting acts like Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects, Avril Lavigne, Pink, the Academy Is…, and even Lindsey Lohan.

Bands Compete for Record Deal in Spin's Hot Pursuit
Voting is now open for the Hot Pursuit, a new band search presented by Spin magazine, Hennessy, and Music Nation. This year's judges include songwriter Butch Walker, Peter Bjorn & John's Peter Moren, the Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer, comedian Michael Showalter, and Spin editor Doug Brod.

New Butch Walker Album Due in August, Tour in July
Producer/frontman Butch Walker is at it again, hitting the road for a July tour that spills into an August conclusion at Chicago's Lollapalooza, and releasing a new album, Sycamore Meadows, in August.
