Aside from the moderate success of his mid-'90s projects, notably Marvelous 3, singer/songwriter and producer extraordinaire Butch Walker has spent much of his career behind the scenes, writing and producing for chart-busting acts like Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects, Avril Lavigne, Pink, the Academy Is…, and even Lindsey Lohan.

This past weekend (Aug. 1-3), throngs of fans flocked to Chicago, IL's Grant Park for the mighty Lollapalooza festival, where they were able to catch top-notch sets by bands such as Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, Kanye West, Rage Against the Machine, and many more.

SPIN.com is packing up its festival bags once again this weekend for one of summer's biggest weekends: Lollapalooza, in Chicago's gorgeous Grant Park. With headline sets from the likes of Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Wilco, and Kanye West, Lolla lacks little in star power, and we're unleashing our hounds accordingly.

Voting is now open for the Hot Pursuit, a new band search presented by Spin magazine, Hennessy, and Music Nation. This year's judges include songwriter Butch Walker, Peter Bjorn & John's Peter Moren, the Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer, comedian Michael Showalter, and Spin editor Doug Brod.

Producer/frontman Butch Walker is at it again, hitting the road for a July tour that spills into an August conclusion at Chicago's Lollapalooza, and releasing a new album, Sycamore Meadows, in August.
