A day after Brit rockers Coldplay racked up seven Grammy nominations for their blockbuster record Viva La Vida, it seems their luck has taken a turn for the worse.

Last night, in the first-ever TV concert to celebrate the unveiling of the Grammy nominees, Lil Wayne, who's already poised to walk with 2008's best selling album, led the pack with eight nods, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for his blockbuster Tha Carter III.
