Dan Auerbach Announces 2018 North American Tour Dates

performs onstage during day 2 of the 2016 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival Weekend 2 at the Empire Polo Club on April 23, 2016 in Indio, California.

Barrel-aged Black Key Dan Auerbach has announced 2018 North American tour dates in support of this year’s enjoyable solo album Waiting on a Song. His touring band, the Easy Eye Sound Revue, is composed of several of the same accomplished Nashville- and Memphis-based sidemen who performed on the record: drummer Gene “Bubba” Chrisman, keyboardist Bobby Wood, pedal steel player Russ Pahl, and bassist Dave Roe.

Auerbach’s band will be joined on tour by Louisiana bluesman Robert Finley (who’s signed to Auerbach’s new label, Easy Eye Sound) and Shannon Shaw, leader of retro garage-pop group Shannon & the Clams, who are also opening the shows. The Clams have further announced their own signing to Easy Eye Sound and the release of their forthcoming fifth LP. Details are yet to be announced, but the new album was produced by Auerbach and is due in February 2018. Wonder how Jack White feels about the competition.

See Dan Auerbach’s upcoming tour dates below. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 3.
