Fresh off a co-headlining jaunt with Southern-fried rockers the Drive-By Truckers, Brooklyn's the Hold Steady are plotting another trip around the U.S. With opening act the War on Drugs in tow, bandleader Craig Finn and Co.

The 20th anniversary edition of the annual Rock for Kids Rock & Roll Charity Auction (set to take place December 5 at Chicago's Park West) has amassed an unbelievable list of participants who have pledged to donate goods to raise funds for the city's homeless and underprivileged youth.
